My research spans artificial intelligence, deep learning, affective computing, and healthcare informatics. I study emotion detection and cognitive appraisal in text, and I focus on how AI systems interpret human emotions in real-world healthcare and human-centered contexts. I also work on explainable AI and dataset engineering, particularly developing structured emotion annotations and transparent evaluation methods.
