Bio

Dr. Prashant Kumar Nag is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Applications at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (GCET), Greater Noida, India. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Applications from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal, where his doctoral research focused on designing efficient artificial intelligence and deep learning models for human emotion detection. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Affective Computing, Emotion Recognition, Machine Learning, and Healthcare Informatics, with a focus on building intelligent models for understanding human emotions from textual data and applying AI-driven methods to real-world problems. Dr. Nag has qualified the UGC-NET examination four times and received a national research fellowship for his doctoral research. Alongside teaching postgraduate courses in the MCA program, he is actively involved in student mentoring, curriculum development, training and placement activities, career planning initiatives, and outcome-based education practices. He is committed to research-driven teaching, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of practical AI solutions for education, healthcare, and society.
